It's the fault of the bright morning which seduced me. I was hypnotised by its beauty...
I intentionally missed the bus to school. I stood by the bus stop and watched the sun come shine. A new day was trying to wake up himself by rubbing his sleepy eyes.I felt the sun on my face and took a deep breath. I felt the city, the new day, the life very deep in my soul and breath out.With a smiling face I watched the poeple in arush trying to get their works on time, unlike me. They dont seem to care about anything around them. they had an aim. Some were waiting for the bus, some were walking with running steps talking on the phone. Thats how we people look I thought. We are like machines, doing the same thinghs over and over again. I tried to talk to a couple of strangers around me. Their responses were short and cold. It was very understandable, they were in the same way like me in yesterday.
I continued and feelt the warmth of the sun, freshness of the morning breeze on my face.. I ordered myself a roll with sesamee and ate it enthusiatically as the way Hemingway described, I enjoyed the taste of sesamme...Have you ever read Hemingway? He has a great talent in describing things. Especially if he is describing something to eat or drink.. You feel like you are eating or drinking it, as you read his lines..
My students usually text me if they are late to my class. Today I made this change. I texted all of them( they are only 10 people) telling them that I was sorry and I was on the way.
And I enjoyed the feeling of being guilty for the first time...I have been teaching for almost 8 years and this was the first time that I wasnt trying to be prefect..
Apologizing my students I asked them for the first time if I could come in. And I added " Believe me I have a very good Excuse!"
Well I know its not something to do everyday coz you have the possiblity to get fired :) but Stealing only one day, even one morning from our lives wouldnt hurt anyone.. "
